From a "lower 48" perspective, it's difficult for some to wrap their minds around the situation. However, up there in "the last frontier", life is quite different. Take for example Gov Palin's husband, Tod Palin. He works for BP as as an oil-field production operator, & owns his own commercial fishing business. Such a career may seem "unusual" to lower 48 voters, but for an Alaskan it's the American dream realized.

 My point being, Gov Palin's daughter Bristol & soon to be son in law Levi will never live in a philadelphia housing project. They're from ALASKA. They too will raise their family the Alaskan way, working in the oil fields, harvesting fish from the sea, etc etc. When you look at this young couple in proper context, it's quite easy to see that they're actually FAR BETTER OFF than most of the neo-social leftists who criticize them.

 America has every reason in the world to be proud of these two kids.
